Formed in 1917, the Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC) is Victoria’s largest provider of residential and community parenting programs in Victoria.   QEC’s vision is for children to get the best start in life. Our work recognises the important role parents/carers play in nurturing, protecting and enhancing the health, development and growth of their children to enable this best start in life.  Our team work in partnership with parents/carers to achieve this through support, education, mentoring and coaching.

 

As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for primarily coordinating the Parenting Assessment and Skills Development Program (PASDS).  You will lead a team of Early Parenting Practitioners and ensure a high quality service is delivered to our families. The Coordinator will undertake a number of duties including accepting referrals, carrying out pre-admission interviews, risk assessments, discharge meetings as well as producing comprehensive evidenced-based client reports for DHHS when required.  A key part of this role is to ensure our programs are running on target, analyse program outcomes and make appropriate recommendations for service enhancement

 

To be considered for this role you will possess:

A tertiary qualification in Maternal and Child Health Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology or equivalent

Up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge of family child health and development

Relevant experience working with families with high needs including those whose children are "high risk" of abuse or neglect

Current Victorian drivers' licence
