Family Partnership Information

Family Partnership Training is based on the highly acclaimed, evidence based model developed

by Hilton Davis, Crispin Day and colleagues. The Family Partnership model has been widely

implemented around the world and is the basis for many successful early intervention programs

for families.

The model assists practitioners to develop highly respectful relationships with parents.

Participants are assisted to understand what it really means to work in partnership with families

and reflect on their knowledge, skills and confidence.

Two facilitators work in partnership with 12 participants to develop an understanding of:

• How to engage and build a respectful relationship

• Effective communication skills

• The process of helping

• The elements of a successful partnership

Training is interactive and participants are encouraged to explore

and reflect on their own knowledge and experience. There is the

opportunity to practice and share feedback on practitioner skills.

A Reflective Practice component is also part of the training.

Participants are not assessed but as the course is constructed to

build on prior learning, successful completion is dependent on

your attendance.

Certificates of attendance are provided.
