Formed in 1917, QEC is Victoria’s largest provider of residential and community based Early Parenting Services. We deliver a variety of different programs to more than 3,800 families annually - directly and in partnership with government and NFP partners across Metropolitan and Regional Victoria.

Many families face a variety of strengths and challenges that impact on their ability to nurture and support their young children. QEC programs are research-informed and tailored to meet the unique needs of each family and enable families to nurture, protect and enhance their children’s, safety, health and development.

The Victorian and Aboriginal Family Preservation and Reunification Response (FPRR) Program is a new initiative that aims to promote strong families with children who are safe, healthy, resilient and thriving, and parents and caregivers who are supported to create a safe and nurturing home environment. The FPRR program at QEC supports children involved with the Child Projection system from birth to 5 years of age.

FPRR is a 240 hour support program, including 200 hours flexible, intensive intervention to address child safety and wellbeing concerns and family need. A 40 hours supplement is designed to promote continuity of relationships, enhanced connection to community and seamless transitions to alternate service pathways.
