Director of Finance and ICT

Contribute to giving children the best start in life

Public Hospital (specialising in early parenting)

Noble Park location

Full time

Formed in 1917, the Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC) is Victoria's largest provider of residential, community and home-based parenting services, for families with children aged from birth until 4 years of age. QEC’s vision is for children to get the best start in life.  QEC employs a skilled, multidisciplinary workforce who work in a child-centred based partnership approach, by building genuine and respectful partnerships with parents/carers, in order to work towards achieving improved outcomes for children and their families.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior executive to lead, manage and oversee the ICT, finance, audit, payroll, accounts and procurement functions within QEC.  Leading the ICT and finance teams, you will be responsible for the provision of accurate and reliable financial data, managing all aspects of internal financial controls as well as creating, monitoring and reporting on recurrent and capital budgets.

Possessing current CPA or ICCA membership, you will have extensive financial experience preferably in the community or health sector. As a key driver for change, you will have high level communication, negotiation, interpersonal and consultancy skills.  Demonstrated skills in leadership, team management, accurate financial analysis, budget management and monitoring are essential to be considered for this role.

This is a great opportunity to join QEC's executive management team committed to the values and growth of QEC.  The Victorian Government recently committed significant funds to support parents with infants and young children, via 7 additional Early Parenting Centres across Victoria. The QEC will support 3 of the new centres (in Frankston, Ballarat and Casey). The funding package also includes an opportunity to develop and increases services to our Noble Park site.
