Preparing for Employment with QEC

Criminal History Checks –  All QEC staff are required to undergo a national police check upon appointment and every three years there after. The QEC covers the cost of these checks, which are administered online through People and Culture. International police checks are undertaken at the employees expense (where applicable).   


Immunisation – To protect the health and safety of  our families, visitors and staff, all staff must provide their immunisation status upon commencement of employment at QEC. 


Working with Children Checks – All QEC staff must hold a current Working with Children Check.  Staff and candidates must apply online for their own Working with Children Check at their own cost. Working with Children Checks remain current for five (5) years and a single employee permit can be used for multiple employers.  For more information on Working with Children Checks please


Credentialing – All registered medical, nursing and health professionals are regularly monitored to ensure currency of professional registration and qualifications. Candidates must provide evidence of qualifications and AHPRA registration upon commencement.  All original qualifications are sighted upon appointment or a certified copy of the qualification is provided to People & Culture.
